Mark Collins
...Mark went on to study classical guitar in 1989 eventually graduating with Associate and Licentiate diplomas in performance from the London College of Music.
Mark has taught guitar in a number of schools throughout the Dublin area including Kylemore College V.E.C., St. Peters College and the Dun laoghaire School of Music.
Mark teaches classical guitar, folk and blues fingerstyle, various electric guitar styles and song/strumming accompaniment. Mark also teaches music theory, including prepartion for the theory requirements for junior and leaving cert. Mark places strong emphasis on technique and developing the nesscessary musical understanding and skills needed to gain competence with the guitar whatever the style, age or level of playing.
Mark has also continued to perform regularly until recently as a co-founding member of the acoustic group 'The Mysterious Chords' and as a part of the 'Carina Guitar Duo'. A classical guitar duo who specialise in renaissance music performingin venues which have included in The pavillion theatre Dun laoghaire.
